- The first week (June 23rd – June 29th) will feature 25 ten-minute plays chosen by a national open call and vetted by a distinguished reading committee. In one of the largest city-wide theatre collaborations ever, each ten-minute play will be directed by local artistic directors.
- Capping off the week (June 30th) will be a 24-hour play-building event in which every piece is written, cast, rehearsed and performed in 24 hours.
- The second week will feature interdisciplinary performances, including spoken word, performance art, dance, music and comedy. This new programming element speaks to CuDCs desire to support artists of all disciplines, create visibility for emerging artists and build audiences by connecting one artistic discipline to another.
- The third week will showcase six forty-five minute one-act plays. Scripts were commissioned from a select list of local and national playwrights. These works will be directed by six of Washington’s most recognized freelance directors.
